Wedding Stationery
Wedding stationery is one of the first things that couples should think about when planning their wedding. Preparation and planning for a wedding takes a lot of preparation and requires great attention to detail. Many couples book their special day at least two years in advance, partly to ensure that their favorite venue will be available for their chosen date.
After booking the venue for the wedding and reception, you are able to send out your invitations. It is important to give your guests adequate notice of the date for their diaries as a matter of courtesy and to ensure that all the important people in your lives can be there to celebrate with you.
Wedding stationery is normally all ordered together so that the printer can use the same batch of materials for the invitations, table plans, order of service cards and place cards to create a truly coordinated set. Some couples overlook the importance of good quality wedding stationery, but actually it sets the tone for your big day and gives your guests and impressions about you and how the wedding will be.
For example, your invitations might be made from beautiful British milled card, with elegant intricate personal detailing telling your story together so far, or perhaps a modern chic clean personal invitation might suit you and your style, focusing on sumptuous print processes and details.
Once designed and ordered, your invitations should be sent out at least three -four months before your wedding day, but ideally inform your guests at least a year in advance of the day to avoid the possibility of a clash of date between your wedding and holidays that have been booked early.
A very good idea is to take a sample invitation to your local post office to ensure that you put the correct postage on your invitations. If you use insufficient postage, your guests may either not receive the invitation or may have to pay a fee to Royal Mail to receive it from the depot. Cutture can do this for you under our bespoke wedding service and under special request.

History of Cutture Wedding Stationery
2009 saw the first official wedding stationery commission for Cutture, however the team behind Cutture have been working together for 10 years. Cutture is a sister company to Hidden Design Studio, a Design Practice and Laser Cutting Service, both companies are based at 269 Wandsworth Bridge Road, with the shop front being dedicated to Cutture and its boutique. Husband and wife team Dominic and Helen Sharland are the founders of both Cutture and Hidden Design Studio, in 2006 they purchased a laser cutter for architectural model making work. Being a graphic design practice they began experimenting with the laser cutter for intricate and beautiful designs. Graphic design work, wedding invitations and corporate identity pieces were then created, as well as small products, and the rest, as they say, is history!
